Premier Pastry

Philip at Premier created our engagement cake and wedding cake. I wish I could attach photographs because our cakes were amazing. Our engagement cake looked like three presents stacked on top of each other with the top box being a ring box with a giant diamond ring inside. Not only did the cake look outstanding, it was amazing in flavor. Our wedding cake was elegant and sophisticated. His design added timeless elegance to our wedding and the flavor and richness of the layers was unbelievable. Our topper is in the freezer now, I can't wait to enjoy it in one year. Philip was accommodating to my last minute requests and changes. I added a brooch last minute to the cake which match my bouquet and he was completely fine with the changes. I'm looking forward to using Premier in the future.

Premier cakes are as delicious as they come. Their flavors are so inventive yet simple and didn't put guests off. Even the fondant was delicious, a hard feat! Our only point of "dispute" was that we wanted a square cake, but they said they could only do our desired design (dots) on a round cake, which didn't make much sense to me, but they're the experts. It still looked beautiful!

BEAUTIFUL cake!! We had a four tier cake with yellow (real icing) ribbon around the base of each layer, and he did each tier a different flavor. One was vanilla, one chocolate one strawberry and the top for us to save for our anniversary was raspberry almond torte (which didn't make it to our anniversary, it was so delicious we ended up eating it 2 days after the wedding!!) Very professional/flexible company, you would not regret having them make your cake!

Delicious and beautiful cake.

Premier Pastry created a cupcake cake for my wedding on November 27, 2010. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous, but it tasted great too! My husband and I were able to go in a taste various flavors of the cupcakes and choose which we liked best. They were extremely flexible in adding special requests and provided us with professional insights regarding flavors and decor. They also made me an "irish carbomb" groomscake that was made from chocolate Guinness cake and had irish cream, cream cheese frosting. The presentation of the groomscake was nothing short of incredible. I worked direclty with Philip Duquette, who was extremely responsive to my (multiple) emails. :) I'd highly recommend Premier Pastry!! Very satisfied bride, Jessica Albano-English

YUM! Premier was so easy to work with as an out of town bride. When my flight was delayed getting to town for the tasting, they packaged the samples up and sent them with my sister so I could taste them when I arrived. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing - the almond raspberry is THE BEST. We got tons of compliments on the cake and were so happy with it!

Premier Pastry was great, they created exactly what I wanted all the way from the exact colors to the shape. They were very professional and respsonsible, they were the only bakery I met with and booked them the same day.

I ordered my wedding cake from Premier Pastry and was very dissapointed. The cake was dry and the layers of butter icing were too thick. The layers of icing was thicker than the actual cake. I got feedback from my guests that they did not enjoy it either. Customer service is not too great either.

I do believe that every single person at my wedding came up to me after to tell me how delicious our cake was.... that they usually hate wedding cake, but this was unbelievable. We chose the Fresh Strawberry Torte and it was it everything I had hoped for. Most people will tell you the one thing they didn't get to do at their wedding was eat their cake. Let me tell you, I was so enamored with ours I made it a point to sit and eat mine, even with people trying to pull me away from it! Thank you so much Phillip and Premier Pastry!

I have heard nothing but compliments about our cake since our wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous and tasted amazing. They did a great job creating the picture I had in my head. Everyone is extremely helpful there. Paula was great to get different ideas from and to work with. I will definitely work with them again.

The wedding cake was very beautifully done...the service and professionalism was awsome...the only bad thing is that the cake tasted dry...so my mom went back up to the bakery just to let them know and she was issued a partial refund...I think this showed just how professional this business is!

Excellent cakes!

Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We took in a magazine photo and they did a fabulous job, our cake was beautiful. The sample slices were delicious, but the actual cake was just a little bit dry. We got the top layer in the peach melba flavor to save and eat the next day, and it was awesome. We would recommend them, for sure.

Our experience with Premier Pastry was absolutly wonderful from start to finish! A co-worker of mine had her wedding cake made by Premier Pastry and it was so good, I HAD to check them out for my own wedding. They have several "sample" cakes set up in the shop as well as photo albums of other cakes they have done in the past. We weren't sure what style of cake we wanted, so it was really nice to have the samples set up to look at. Out consultation took all of 15 minutes and then we were sent home with healthy sized postions of their 6 most popular flavors to eat at our leisure, without the pressure of someone sitting there staring at us while we tasted them. They will take payment over the phone with a debit/credit card, which was nice for me because of the convenience. The cake was GORGEOUS and DELICIOUS and I would recommend them to anyone!

The service was wonderful and the cake was beautiful...however, it did not taste good. :-( Also, Kind of expensive for baked flour.

Phillipe the owner was wonderful. He gave us 8 full size slices of some of his different cake flavors to take home to taste after our first meeting (I suggest making an appointment so he can have some ready). And every single one was a slice of heaven, it was so difficult to choose because all of them were sooo good! We worked with him to incorporate our wedding colors of cream, chocolate brown, and tiffany blue into the cake, and it turned out wonderfully. I wish I could attach a picture to my review of the cake because it was so pretty. We ended up going with 2 layers of the cake in the the rasberry chambord gateau, and the other 2 layers in the mocha walnut torte. The cake was such a hit, that we think some people took 2 slices, so there wasn't a single piece left and if it wasn't for the reception manager setting aside a few slices for us, we probably wouldn't have tasted mcuh of the cake that night. So the only thing I'd recommend is going with a cake size a little bigger than your total guests. We also had him make us some cookie trays to include in the dessert table, which also turned out well. My sister also worked with Phillipe to make chocolate and carrot cupcakes for my bridal shower, and he decorated the tops with hydrangea flowers in fondant that turned out so beautifully and the cupcakes tasted so good. They were truly gourmet cupcakes!

We chose Premier Pastry in Rochester, New York to do our wedding cake as well as a surprise grooms cake for our rehearsal dinner. The quality of their cakes is out of this world! Each cake was hand crafted based on design ideas, photos we'd seen and the owner, Phillip's creative talents. Our grooms cake, in the shape of a football helmet decorated in Michigan Wolverine style was the perfect surprise for my husband-to-be and our wedding cake was a truly unique and whimsical creation. We chose a 3-tiered cake, each in a different flavor, but we were most fond of the Raspberry Chambord Gateau- a rich butter cake soaked with Raspberry Chambord liqueur layered with raspberry buttercream frosting. It was to die for. Both my husband and I were so busy on our wedding day that we only ate just a few bites and regret not having taking the leftovers back to our honeymoon suite as a midnight snack!! I would highly recommend Premier Pastries to anyone! (I wish I could next day air some to myself right now!)- Kate Manser- Denver, Colorado.

Provided excellent cake-tasting to help make final decision. Was able to incorporate flowers into the cake design, although they wanted to use a specific florist that we didn't know. Reasonably priced (but not cheap) and quite tasty - good for a wedding, including handling delivery nicely.
