I was very pleased with everything about Colgate; the view, the food, the level of professionalism, the attention to details, and the willingness to assist me in any way, when I say everything, I mean everything. Even in planning my wedding from another state, everything was easy and convenient for me. I was able to maintain constant communication with Jim and felt very confident in him and his team every step of the way. My day was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing!! Thanks to everyone.

I wouldn't change a thing! Jim, Suzanne, Bobby and all of the staff at Colgate did a wonderful job. The food was fantastic! The attention to detail and high quality standards made our wedding day perfect. Dozens of guests have told us our wedding was the best they've ever been to! I would highly recommend considering colgate as a venue for your wedding! We hope to attend a wedding at colgate someday and will be craving the seafood manicotti until then! :)

This Venue was amazing. Great people, great food, great experience.

The Colgate Divinity School is the best choice in Rochester for your ceremony and reception. The setting is beautiful, the food was incredible, and the service from the staff was top notch. Every guest that I have since talked to from our wedding has commented that it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to. The Divinity School is classy, elegant, and affordable with many options to choose from. Make sure you attend the Tasting Dinner in January/February. You have the opporunity to try all of the food and wine on the menu. You also will get to try different wedding cake vendors and look at sample centerpieces from local vendors.

Colgate is a beautiful facility and Jim runs a tight ship. The value was quite competitive for Rochester and location was perfect for out of town guests staying at downtown hotels. Only piece we could have planned better (our fault, not Colgate's)- arrange for shuttles or to have taxi cabs waiting for guests when the party's over. We were competing for a small number of cabs with a downtown festival and it got a bit hectic. Otherwise- absolutely perfect day!

Our experience at Colgate was wonderful. My only wish is that there was a hotel option so we could have stayed overnight and continued the dream. The food was excellent. Jim and his staff were extremely attentive and professional. It was a perfect day for my daughter and son-in-law.

Jim!!! You and your staff provided extremely excellent service on our Wedding Day....and all the way up to it!! Your responses to our questions were always answered VERY promptly!! You were so accomodating and easy to work with!! Thanks for waiting out the rain on our Day.....I really wanted to hear the bells outside the Chapel and have our guests enjoy such a beautiful setting!!!! Colgate and Special Events Catering is the best place to get married and have a reception!! I have gone to many family and friends' weddings but this is the ours is the one that everyone keeps talking about months later. The building is gorgeous, the food was beyond spectacular, Jim and his staff were amazing! They knew exactly what to do, how to do it and they kept everything running smoothly. This allowed myself, my husband and family to just relax and enjoy the evening. Jim was absolutely wonderful, he gave us his recommendations so the evening would run smoothly, but then listened to what we would like and made it work. They are miracle workers! With Jim's help, the evening went so smoothly. Bobbie, our chapel hostess, helped with all the little things that need to be done the day of the wedding, helped us with the reception and was able to keep everything on time and running smoothly. Jim's staff in the dining room were wonderful. Our guests kept remarking how wonderful and professional the staff was and how seamless the evening went. Before our wedding, everyone kept saying that one thing always goes not quite how you plan it to but I can honestly say that due to Jim and his staff's talents and abilities, the evening was perfect!

It was absolutely beautiful. The day went perfectly and smoothly. Everything was taken care of and we didn't have to worry about anything. Every part of the day was very organized very well. The food was absolutely delicious. Our guests said it was one of the best weddings they had been to, and they thought everything was beautiful.

Jim Reynolds and his staff were easy and great to work with. Everything about our wedding day was seamless and we could not have asked for better food, drinks or service! We owe much of the success of our wedding to Jim and Special Events Catering. Whenever I had a question or concern, Jim answered promptly and gave his expert opinion on what options would work best! The tasting in February was incredible and I'm so thankful we were able to attend because the food is just fantastic! We are still getting compliments on how beautiful the day was and how wonderful the reception was. We highly recommend Jim Reynolds and Special Events Catering!

All of the comments that brides have left on this site about Jim Reynolds and his staff are true and speak volumes. You cannot go wrong in choosing the Colgate Divinity School for your venue. I plan events for a living, so my standard in planning my own wedding was quite high. We couldn't have been more pleased with everything about Colgate and I can't say enough about Jim Reynolds and his staff. Having to plan our wedding from out of state was a challenge, but Jim went above and beyond to answer all of my questions and do whatever he could to make things easier for us. It was also important for me to find a venue that could accommodate a wheelchair bound family member on the wedding day and the Divinity School was able to do it and couldn’t have been more accommodating. You don't find this type of service anymore. Our wedding day was perfect. Jim and company went above and beyond to make our day a truly special and memorable event. Friends and family still comment about our wedding a year later and say that it was “magical” and the best wedding they've ever been to. I attribute this to the venue itself, the attention to detail and professionalism of Jim and his staff, the setting, and to the amazing food, etc. For anyone searching for a wedding venue, I would highly recommend looking into the Colgate Divinity School. He is also helpful with trying to keep the cost within your budget. He is well aware of the economy and can help with creating the wedding you want and stay within your budget. He knows every nook and cranny within Colgate and knows what works best - Listen to him! The food is excellent and the presentation lovely. His staff is friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. Colgate was the perfect location for our wedding. The staff was extremely professional, the food was fabulous, and the chapel/reception hall were beautifully put together. Jim was always willing to answer any of our questions and really catered to our needs. We had the most wonderful wedding and it's due in large part to the great people at Colgate! :o)
